Okay, so how should I start explaining this broad subject in my game? I will describe what gave me the idea I guess! I got it from Pseudolonewolf by the way. When I played Mardek, I loved the reactions (That's what it's called right?) system! It was fantastic and I wondered what I could do to make my game unique with a similar system. It may not seem related to the system I have come up with but it somehow is! Moving on!

Now I bet you are asking, "What the hell is a Soul Enchantment?" Well, I am about to tell you. Let's start with explaining what an enchantment is. It is a modification. If your character is enchanted, then it could do a variety of things. Such as add more damage to attacks, or reduce damage taken from attacks. Unfortunately general enchantments aren't available or existent in the world that my game takes place in!

What is available though are Soul Enchantments! These are enchantments that modify the soul (of course), they do apply general things such as more damage or take less damage! So what is different about Soul Enchantments? A couple of things. Up to two Soul Enchantments can be absorbed and infused with the soul at one time! One attack and one defense Soul Enchantment. Soul Enchantments can only be absorbed by a certain people though! That's right, the Magi!

One way that it is possible to gain Soul Enchantments is to spend enough time in a certain environment. That is what makes the different villages unique! As an example let's use the Forest People. They have spent so much time living in the wild forests and becoming in touch with nature that it has had an effect on them. This is accomplished by spending years and years living in the forest, or being the child of one of these types of people! This can also work backwards. Meaning that if one of the Forest People spends too much time in a commoners village they will eventually lose their Soul Enchantments.

One thing that I didn't mention before was that there is one type of people who have NO Soul Enchantments. The Commoners! They have modified their environment to fit themselves and have lost their uniqueness. The Magi are an interesting version of the Commoners. They seem to have gained a uniqueness that no other People have. Magi are multi-elemental, meaning they can perform spells of any element! This is interesting because it shows what the Commoners must have lost. While just plain Magi are rare, Soul Magi are even rarer. They are Magi who can work with souls! I will explain the Magi even more later on though!

The reason Soul Magi are so rare is because they can modify other Magi's souls, but only other Magi! They are the only ones who can REMOVE Soul Enchantments infused with the soul! They can also add Soul Enchantments!

Well, that is all there is about Soul Enchantments, I might add more later!
